Residential Painter

Oasis Management Inc. is a full-service construction and maintenance company providing professional services to multiple properties throughout Boston, Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas. Our services include construction, carpentry, masonry, cleaning, and painting.

We're looking for a Residential Painter to prepare and paint apartments and homes across our portfolio. Most of the work is unit turnovers and occupied-unit repairs, so the job rewards someone who works clean, works steadily, and leaves a place better than they found it.

Pay depends on experience and on what you can run on your own. Painters who can prep and finish a unit start to finish, without supervision, are at the top of the range.

Position details

• Compensation: $18.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces: patch, sand, caulk, tape, and prime before finish coats.
• Paint interiors and exteriors, including walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and cabinets.
• Protect floors, fixtures, and tenant belongings, and clean the work area at the end of each day.
• Match existing colors and finishes on repairs to occupied units.
• Read a scope of work and tell your supervisor early when a unit needs more than the scope covers.
• Keep track of the materials a job takes and flag what needs reordering.
• Maintain brushes, sprayers, ladders, and other equipment in working order.
• Work safely around tenants, including proper ladder use and safe handling of paints and solvents.

Qualifications

• Previous residential or commercial painting experience is preferred but not required; we will train someone reliable who wants to learn the trade.
• Comfortable with standard prep and finish work: patching, sanding, caulking, cutting in, and rolling.
• Experience with sprayers is a plus.
• Able to work on ladders and to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Dependable, on time, and able to work independently once a job is assigned.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred but not required.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred but not required.
• Own hand tools are a plus; we supply materials and larger equipment.
